We are writing to notify you that Robyn Jane Children’s Centre Annual General Meeting will take place at 7.30pm on 21 October 2020.
The Annual General Meeting will take place on Google Meet and the link will be sent to anyone who has registered. To register your attendance, email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone (03) 5692 4842.
We require 10% of the Centre’s members present at the Annual General Meeting or the meeting must be rescheduled. At the meeting attendance will be recorded and there will be an opportunity to ask questions. The agenda is attached.

Nominations for Committee of Management
To hold a position on the Committee of Management those interested must be elected or appointed. These positions are open to the Centre’s members (parents or legal guardians of a child at the centre). Community members may also be nominated but must also submit the attached form with their nomination.
Appendix 6 – Application for Membership.
The positions for nomination are:
- Vice President
- Parent Liaison
- Three to six general members
How to Nominate
Anyone wishing to join the Committee of Management must be nominated by completing the attachment form, Appendix 5 – Committee of Management Nomination Form.
This must be received by the Secretary of the Committee (Karen Turner) by email firstname.lastname@example.org by 6.15pm, Wednesday 14 October 2020.
If more than one nomination for each position is received, a vote will occur at the Annual General Meeting.
There may be a vote for positions of the Committee of Management.
We will notify you of how to vote once nominations have been finalised. Voting will be in accordance with our Constitution (Clause 59). To cast a vote, members must be present at the Annual General Meeting (or be represented by proxy). Each member is entitled to one vote, providing fees are not in arrears.
A member may appoint another member as their proxy to vote and speak
on their behalf at an Annual General Meeting. To appoint a proxy, use the attachment
Appendix 7 – Proxy Appointment Form.
It must be signed and submitted by the member making the appointment and be received by the Secretary of the Committee (Karen Turner) by email email@example.com by 6.15pm, Monday 19 October 2020. A member must not act as proxy for more than two members at the Annual General Meeting.
The Committee of Management
